About GL Solutions
Our History
GL Suite, Inc., is an employee-owned corporation doing business as GL Solutions. The company was founded by former administrators with the Oregon Department of Justice’s Charitable Activities Section who were dissatisfied with the regulatory software system built by the department’s IT professionals.
While still employed by the DOJ, Bill Moseley and Eric Staley developed a licensing system for charitable gaming that tracked applications and renewals, managed workflow and even sent out escalating notices for deficiencies and delinquencies. The system allowed the section to catch up on a significant backlog of renewals and helped collect almost $500,000 in fees officials did not know the department was owed.
Moseley and Staley left the DOJ in the late 1990s to develop enterprise software designed to serve regulatory professionals with similar needs. GL Solutions’ COTS software and related services have evolved along with the technological landscape and have been used by scores of licensing agencies across the country, including boards of accountancy, cosmetology, medicine and many others. For more than 20 years, Moseley and Staley have sought to improve government agencies, both for public servants and the citizens they protect.
