Meet Erik Lukens VP for Business Solutions

Q: What do you like most about working at GL Solutions?

A: I like the people I work with, who are very smart and motivated. I also like working to help regulatory agencies, in which I had a professional interest before joining GL Solutions. I studied and wrote about local and state government, including state regulatory agencies, for more than 20 years in my previous career as a newspaper editor. I am familiar with the kinds of political, budgetary and reputational factors that can make the important work of regulatory officials difficult and often thankless. I like working for a company that can help them.

Q: What is your title and how long have you worked at GL Solutions?

A: As vice president for business solutions, I oversee sales, marketing and account management. I’ve worked at GL Solutions for 14 months.

Q: What sort of work do you do each day to meet our mission: help government agencies protect the public?

A: I work through our sales and marketing efforts to reach agencies that could operate more  efficiently with our application, GL Suite. I work through our account management team to help clients use our software as effectively as they can. This involves responding promptly to issues and helping agencies build out their GL Suite systems with new functionalities, which are included in our support plans.

Q: What is something most people don’t know about you?

A: I’m a Massachusetts native. I don’t have an accent, though, and I hate the Patriots.
