Kalispell software company, GL Solutions, recently hired 11 new people and plans to employ an additional 16 people over the next four months. Jobs range from entry-level positions—for those with non-technical backgrounds—to more technical roles, like managerial roles.
GL Solutions produces GL Suite, regulatory software used by state agencies across the country to help manage the regulation of multiple occupations, from dentists to builders to accountants.
GL Solutions CEO Bill Moseley explains the recent expansion. “COVID was a wakeup call for many government agencies—their systems were slow and did not support workflow and document management needed for a remote world. GL Solutions has a proprietary model for modernizing and transforming government agencies. Our software and services offering has found a wide market, supporting our rapid growth.”
GL Solutions promotes people from within. The company aims to place people on the IT career path of their choice, whether design, configuration, development, client services or administration. Of those hired in the last six months, 24% received a promotion. And of those hired in the last 12 months, 47% received a promotion. With those promotions, salaries increased for those employees by 10%-30%.
“State regulatory departments are looking to modernize their current offerings,” says GL Solutions Vice President for Business Solutions Sam Hardin. “We use IT to help them realize their goals.”
GL Solutions currently employs 50 people. The company offers on-the-job training to enable those with non-technical backgrounds to gain the needed skills.
