GL Solutions clients can find it difficult to review specifications, which tend to be written in fairly technical language. However, specification review is an important step in a software project. To make review easier, GL Solutions is updating specification templates.
Clients receive templates featuring business requirements and technical specifications. The comparatively complex technical specifications section contains, among other things, a space devoted to selection criteria. These criteria explain how records are chosen to pull into reports. GL Solutions has added to the business requirements section a plain-English version of the selection criteria contained the technical specifications section. This change, which affects Query, Correspondence and Report templates, will give clients a simpler alternative to reading technical language when approving specifications.
