Identifying client needs up front for merge entity commands

GL Solutions has updated the design guidance for the Merge Duplicate Entity functionality in order to help tailor the functionality precisely to each client’s needs. The update followed an agency’s desire for a Merge Entity command that imports name and address information. This desire contradicts the default behavior of the Merge Entity command, which is designed not to import name and address. Because the functionality’s default behavior and the agency’s desired behavior conflict, the agency must merge the information manually. The updated guidance requires Business Analysts to review the Merge Duplicate Entity functionality’s default behavior with clients during design in case they would like to deviate.
