GL Solutions Completes Mobile Optimization Project for N.C. Agency

GL Solutions recently completed a mobile-optimization project for the North Carolina State Board of Certified Public Accountant Examiners.  By updating the individual renewal website for CPAs, the agency hoped to make renewals as easy to complete on users’ phones as they are on their desktops.

CPAs must renew every year, says agency Deputy Director David Nance, and “more and more people are doing things on their phones.” Nance expects many younger CPAs to take advantage of mobile optimization when renewals begin to arrive this spring.

The board is steadily updating its technical capabilities to become paperless, says Nance. And even before optimizing the individual renewal website for mobile use, he says, about 98% of all renewals were submitted electronically.

A GL Solutions Client since 2005, the North Carolina State Board of Certified Public Accountant Examiners uses the GL Suite application to process applications and renewals for CPAs and CPA firms, track continuing education compliance and verify licensee status, among other things.
